The Community Action Network

At the heart of Community Champions is the Community Action Network - a growing group of residents, community leaders, neighbourhood houses, schools, service providers, and local businesses who care about strengthening their suburbs.

This network covers Rocherlea, Mayfield, Newnham, Mowbray, Invermay, Ravenswood and Waverley. Each area has its own action group, shaped by local strengths and local priorities.
Together, they:

  • Identify issues and opportunities raised by the community

  • Dream, plan and deliver local events

  • Support one another across suburbs

  • Build confidence, leadership and skills

  • Celebrate the achievements of their community

The Network is open, inclusive, and always welcoming new members who want to make a difference.
